Thought I'd try a manual one and see how I get on, found one with great reviews but any opinions welcome on what worked best?

I found manual ones tricky tbh. The madella swing is very expensive but is by far the best imo. My lo was born at 29 weeks so I had to pump for a long time, even in combination with breastfeeding, and tried a few options but the madella swing did the job better than any other. Depends how often you'll be pumping though as to if it's worth the money.

I had an earlier version of the Avent manual one with my DC and found I got lots of milk with it. Am pregnant again and planning to use a manual one again, at least unless I can't and then can justify the extra expense of an electric one!
