My mother wants me to go play bingo with her the problem is people are allowed to smoke in the building , though the a/c is constantly on and nobody directly next to me is smoking I feel worried it's going to hurt my baby, I am 17 weeks right now. Is it okay to go for a session? It would be about 3 hours

Are you sure about that? I havent been to bingo for a couple of years, but they outright banned smoking inside the building, and have a smokers area outside with tables and large umbrellas in case its raining. I have been to several different bingo halls in my area and they all seem to have this arrangement.

This would be illegal if they let that happen, but no you're not being unreasonable. I wouldn't go personally x

SoyDora · 09/11/2018 08:47

I wouldn’t, partly because they are breaking the law, partly because I detest the smell of cigarette smoke and partly because I wouldn’t want to be breathing it in when pregnant.

Howhot · 09/11/2018 08:49

Are you in the UK? That would be illegal. If they are then no I wouldn't attend.

iforgotwhatiwasgoingtosay · 09/11/2018 09:33

I would still go, I have been visiting friends and family who smoke indoors (I can't tell them what to do in their house) I don't like the smell by any means but I don't see it as the end of the world. At bingo where I live it is illegal to smoke inside...

SoyDora · 09/11/2018 09:35

To be fair I wouldn’t go to a place where people were smoking indoors even if I wasn’t pregnant. I don’t want to have to go home and wash my hair before getting into bed after an evening out.

worriedgem · 09/11/2018 09:37

Are you sure? Smoking inside is illegal in the UK.

Whiskeyjar · 09/11/2018 09:50

That's 100 percent against the law so are you sure this is the case? If it was then I definitely would go if I were you
