I wanted to know, when you have pregnancy scans in the Netherlands, does your name appear on them? I’ve tried looking on online and can not find any scan pics!

I’m asking as the woman who my husband has had an affair with is claiming to be pregnant! But there is no name on the scan!

Any help is kindly Appreciated.

I’m not Dutch but live in the Netherlands and have my whole pregnancy.

My name and date of birth is on the top of all my scans. However they have all been done at the same midwive practice, so I can’t say for sure if it’s the same at every midwife practice (here they are independent as we have private healthcare and no NHS so not sure of the consistency)

Hope that helps a little and sorry you’re in this situation.

I’ve just had a look and found a scan that I had at a hospital here in Amsterdam when I was sick and I noticed my name is not on that one - so it’s really impossible to say whether hers are genuine or not from the scan photo alone :(

Thank you so much for replying.
Can i ask what appears on the top left hand side of both your scan pictures.

I’m guessing, it was a private scan as she is claiming 15 weeks and it was done few days ago! And all that is visible at the top is the date!

Hope this pic works - this is the type I get from my midwife - I blocked out my name but the format is:

left side - my full name and DOB and then underneath that my patient number

Middle - some kind of code and under that the baby size and weight

Right side the name of the midwife clinic and underneath that the date (eg this scan was from 12th July)

Thank you so much for your help Olivecake, really appreciate it.
It looks nothing like the one my husband showed me!
My gut is telling me she is playing games, but the fear in my head takes over!

Olivecake, do they issue you with maternity notes in the Netherlands like they do
In the uk?

I do have maternity notes but to be honest I think they may have given them to me later in my pregnancy like around 20 weeks - it’s hard to remember for sure but I think I got them a bit later, when I asked for something because I was traveling. Sorry that probably doesn’t help much! But I did get a ‘statement’ from my midwife saying I was pregnant and my due date to give to work quite early on.

Did she send you a picture over by computer or do you have an actual copy?

Zara4 · 08/11/2018 14:24

She sent it via photo msg to my husband!
From what i saw of it, it had Nor...something Ruff written on the top left handside and the date in the middle! Nothing else...x

If you suspect the scan isn't hers and it's a pic that was emailed rather then a physical copy you could always do a bit of detective work! Google has a reverse image search facility, you upload the pic and it will let you know if it's been taken from a website.

VintageFur · 08/11/2018 14:31

My scans had my DOB, name, centre, baby due date etc. Dating scans done 10-12 weeks and anomaly at 20 weeks.

I can't remember having any maternity notes - I think my mw team liaised with my GP/hospital somehow.

Zara4 · 08/11/2018 16:21

I shall look into that, thank you...x

I had my two sons in The Netherlands and all my scans had my name on them. I didn’t however ever have maternity notes to carry around with me, I was given some info after appointments but not the sort of thing I think you get in the uk.

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 08/11/2018 17:52

Sorry, got engrossed at work,
The reason I asked if it was a photo sent, because of what @Starsong82 said about reverse image search.

I really hope you find out the truth OP!

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 08/11/2018 17:59

I shall speak to husband! And see if he will do it!
At the moment he’s not very forthcoming with information! I have only had a few seconds to look at the information she has sent!
Something isn’t adding up! But trying to get that across to him is a sore subject😒
He’s burying his head in the sand hoping it will all go away!
