Baby due in 2 days

I’m having my first baby and he is due in 2 days, had my midwife appt today and she said if he didn’t come along by next Tuesday she would do a sweep. Baby had been very active moving around and I just wondered if they move more when they are due to come out? I’m really hoping he makes an appearance as I’m having a waterbirth and midwife said if I have to be induced that I cannot have a waterbirth.

Im due today and have noticed an increase too- hope it means an imminent arrival

I'm not sure about the movement thing. But as far as induction and waterbirth it's not quite true that it's ruled out. Induction usually starts with a gel or pessary to get your cervix softening and some women go into labour just from that alone. If you do, in my trust anyway, they explicitly say you can still deliver in the water or on the midwife led unit. They even say that women who've had amniotomy can delivery on the MLU/in water. It's just those who need to go onto the drip who need continuous monitoring which isn't possible in water.

Hope your baby either comes on their own or your trust is like mine!

Good luck @theweasleytwins hope u have arrival soon 😊 @Liz3891 thanks for tour reply, been reading about pessaries ans gels this morning and it was saying that Induction can be more painful so
Keeping my fingers crossed that Be appears in a few days. Good
To know I may still be able to try for
A waterbirth before reaching the drip stage... fingers crossed 👍🏻
