Hey girls,

I have a gender scan private booked for 16+3 weeks.

It says it's 99.9% accurate.

Has anyone else had accurate gender scans at 16+ weeks?

I had to book a early one I'm too excited and very inpatient to wait!

Yes had mine last Tuesday and I was exactly 16 weeks. No denying that my baby is a boy, was very clear to see 😂

Lol great! My last scan my little one was upside down with hands covering the face so I hope he/she isn't doing the same thing or they won't be able to tell the gender 😩

I'm going to be that twat...

Sex.
It's a sex scan.
Gender is a social construct.

I had one at 15+6 weeks and they were right! Definitely a boy Smile

If they are not sure than they tell you so.
They'll either get you to move around a bit and jiggle the baby. Or ask you to come back later in the day or another day.
I had one last year and my appointment was at 10am, I didn't find out till 3pm. I jiggled, I drunk cold water, I went for a walk, they kept bringing me back in and the baby hadn't moved to a good enough view.
Eventually they got a shot of between the legs, they didn't need to say anything, we could all tell it was a boy!

The companies refer to them as gender scans, that's what you pay for. If you have any issue with that it may be best taken up with the individual companies than the OP

As for accuracy, I had one at 16+4 and after being very difficult saw she was a little girl! She's not here yet but 20 week scan confirmed so I'm hoping they wouldn't both be wrong haha! Could definitely see a massive difference in the potty shot of her compared to DS though and if you ask the sonographer they will point out to you what they're looking at. Though in my experience if it's a boy, it will be glaringly obvious

Fair Cleo and I wasn't meaning to have a go op. All the best and hope you get a clear answer!
