Sadly a transvaginal scan found an empty sac at 7 weeks + 1. There is no question of the dates so no hope. 
As this is a third miscarriage the talk was of tests for that and no talk of D&C at all. Having caught my breath, I'm now thinking that time is REALLY not on our side and I don't want to wait months for hcg to drop and periods to return if possible (it took ages last time and that was following a bleed which I haven't even had this time). One of the tests they are going to do can't be done until day 20 of my next period.
Should I go back and ask for a D&C - I don't really know anything about it, not having had one before?
