I'm not getting this now as I'm not pregnant but had this in my last two pregnancies it was a horrible feeling anyone else get this and what is it )l

I did get it. Pain was horrible! However It happens when baby is starting to go down towards your pelvis and into your cervix ready for labour. So it means your cervix is beginning to dilate

I believe the technical term is “fanny daggers!” I’m not sure what causes it but I’ve had it both pregnancies from the second trimester onwards.

I’m experiencing this currently at 39 weeks, from what I’ve read it’s caused by baby starting to engage and move lower ready for birth. It’s bloody uncomfortable though! Catches me off guard sometimes!
