I was hoping for recommendations on any great pregnancy books ? or perhaps ones to avoid?

Im the first of my friends to get pregnant so don't have anyone around me to ask x

Best thing is online/google/Mumsnet to get advice and tips from real mums

I bought ‘how to grow a baby and push it out’ it’s good and gives you a basic knowledge and covers most things.

Just started reading Blissful baby expert, I love it!! It’s made me feel so much more prepared and relaxed. I would definitely recommend it to everyone and I am planning on buying copies for my friends, when they are expecting. It is mainly for once you’ve had the baby and learning about feeding/sleeping routines.

I also bought my husband 2 books. Dummy and the expectant dads survival guide. He’s enjoying both of them and it has made him feel a bit more involved.

My main reading time is on my commute. That has been made somewhat challenging by morning sickness, so I've switched to podcasts. "Pregnancy Podcast" and "Your Parenting Mojo" are both really good as they're evidence based and referenced.

The website www.parentingscience.com is also excellent for the same reasons.

If you're after an actual book, I really liked "French Children Don't Throw Food". (DH loved it. It's what persuaded him that having kids wasn't completely terrifying.)
