Taking DS4 to 20wk Scan

I’m undecided. Scan is at 6:30pm today.

We’ve had four MCs all pre-12wks, so scans are typically a traumatic time. I’m not sure I want to risk him being there and something is wrong.

To the same token, if all is well it would be lovely to have him there and explain things a little more.

No babysitter either, so if DH has to look after DS, I’m going to the scan alone.

Any thoughts?

Check if they actually allow children in first. I would be inclined to have DH wait outside with DS.

If you can avoid it please don't take him. My ds was at my 22wk scan for dd1 and a heart issue was spotted. The sonographer didn't want to go into too much detail as a result and we were left hanging on for the follow up to get details.

Saying that I do understand it is difficult when you don't have child care

Yes please check that he will be allowed in. My daughter went for her 20 week scan (2 weeks ago), and the couple who went in before my daughter were told that their young child was not allowed in, so they made the father sit outside with him and the mother had to go in on her own. (obviously very upsetting for the couple).
