Should I be showing yet? My tummy is bloated, and, my husband said he can tell I'm pregnant.

My tummy is usually flat and I've now got a bulge under my belly button and regular non maternity tights are super uncomfortable and cut in..

I haven't had my scan yet, so, I'm paranoid that something is wrong..

Were any of you guys showing this soon?

It's just bloating, the baby is too small to cause a bump yet. That said I bloated up so much I looked at least 4 months at my 12 week scan (but I have a bowel illness that causes this). Don't worry, most women don't start showing till 16 - 20 weeks with thier first pregnancy.

I was showing a bit, but I was super tiny to start with (size 4-8). At that stage it's mostly bloat anyways, but on me it was very noticeable because of my size....

mammyofasuperbaby I, also, have a bowel disease which makes me bloat (Crohns!) so its obviously a combo of the 2! I'm just super paranoid and the next 2 weeks until my scan are going to go SO slowly.I'm really scared that something might go wrong, I've ready too much on MMC!!

It's likely to be just bloat at this stage. I didn't start showing until I was around 15-16 weeks and I was a slim 8-10 to start with. I also think it's always more noticeable to you and your partner as you are both so intune to what your body actually looks like.

With my first pregnancy I didn’t start showing until around 24 weeks but I was definetly very bloated early on so all my clothes felt tight. Apparently looked pregnant to my husband but nobody else lol. Try not to give yourself too much extra worries especially around bump size. My bump was tiny compared to everyone else in my antenatal class near our due date but my baby was much bigger when he came out lol, I spent too much time worrying about why I was so small x

I had to buy some stretchy jeans at about 11 weeks because the bloating was too much and my normal jeans were hurting me! I didn’t start to show as such until I was about 15/16 weeks and even then it was just a little podge. It’s quite normal to be worried leading up to your scan I know I was a nervous wreck but I promise as the weeks progress everything gets easier.
Try not to be googling and reading stuff unnecessarily it won’t help. X

Thank you ladies - you've put my mind at ease! I'm surprised I'm not the size of a house the amount I'm eating (all healthy though, and sticking to a much fruit as I can!!)

I'll probably be huge, later on, and wish I could be back here! haha

Thank you again XXXXXX

@JustMe18 - I'm also 9+6 today and I have bloatedness too. OH thinks I'm starting to show as well but I'm carrying twins (found out last week at NHS 9 week scan). At this stage it's hard to tell what's fat, bloat and baby! Try not to worry - I'm sure everything is fine. Some people show early and others don't - there's no right or wrong.

LittleDoveLove · 05/11/2018 16:57

I was bloated from 3 weeks (I have ibs so assuming it was that being aggregated)! It's just about turned solid to a bump now! I'm 17 weeks. :)

I’m 11+2 with baby number three and horribly bloated 😫 not showing bump yet but massive all over my tummy and feel disgusting. I have some really big high waisted jeans which I wear on my days off and a pair of black maternity trousers which I have just started wearing for work as I can’t stand the feeling of sitting at my desk with a waist band cutting in... deffo look fat though Rather than preggo x

HanHx · 08/11/2018 15:07

I was bloated from the very start! only just showing a bump now at 15 weeks, you will tell straight away when its baby! x
