39 weeks pregnant and caught DS virus :-(

Hi

Anyone go into labour unwell? I am 39.4 weeks pregnant and feeling horrendous today and yesterday with streaming cold and achy joints etc. Just generally unwell. My toddler had it last week and now my mum, me and my DH are all struggling. Terrible timing as no idea how I'll attempt a VBAC feeling like this (let alone care for a newborn and toddler !) .

Will my body wait until I'm better or is that just something people say?!

This exact thing happened to me, turned out DD2 didn’t want to rush in to the world while there were germs lurking around! I was induced a week late in the end, had the tail end of a nasty virus but as soon las lbour started my cold symptoms vanished, came back afterwards though 🙈

I was being sick just before I went into labour. Ended up being in hosp for fluids and antibiotics as had a raging temp and was cooking baby. Went into labour naturally half hour after I got to hosp otherwise they was going to c section me. Turn out all well in the end
