Blood and yellow discharge - 9 weeks 2 days

Hi All,

I think I'm just going a little crazy with this!

I'm 40 and I've had an MMC back in June and waited two cycles before trying again - my only indication was brown discharge before my 12 weeks scan. I was blessed with conceiving the first month of TTC. All was going super well until the end of my 8th week. The EPU had given me a comfort scan at the beginning of the week - everything perfect. I then had brown discharge and slight bleeding, two days later they gave me another scan - all perfect - no idea where bleeding is coming from. Two days later a proper red bleed that filled my knickers and again I was scanned again - everything perfect! They gave me an internal - no erosion and cervix closed but I'm still getting brown spotting on my knickers (I need a panty liner for it) and now my discharge is like I've peed my pants - yellow and watery.

What's going on? I don't want to call EPU again as even I know I've already had a 5 star service. But they couldn't find a hematoma, they've ruled out cervical erosion... And if I'm active I have more brown spotting - I'm scared to go to work because I don't want anything to happen.

Even when I have a scan, I'm relieved until I see the blood again and this worry is eating at me.

Thanks for reading - any thoughts greatly received!

I also forgot to say my tummy is very sensitive, as if bruised but not cramping

I'm afraid I have no experience to offer but I think as long as your scans are showing growth and a heartbeat I think you have to try and be as positive as you can be. Scant reassurance and I feel your pain and anxiety. Wishing you luck and I'm sorry for your previous loss.

You can have bleeding through pregnancy without it being because you're miscarrying or anything bad. As it's not heavy, and your scans are showing baby as healthy... I would try not to worry too much (I know that's hard).

In regards to discharge... have you got any itching or discomfort with it? Just wondering if you've got an infection like thrush or something. You could always double check with your GP if you're concerned.

Thanks for your support but I ended up miscarrying.
