Ectopic Pregnancy

Hi guys, so on Wednesday I got a very faint fr positive, I'm on the mini pill so was a complete shock, anyway the line hasn't got darker over the days and I'm experiencing pain in my right lower abondomn, it would work out I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant but not even clear blue digitals will pick it up, is there a posibility that this is ectopic or have I read too much into it? I'm also feeling dizzy and suffering migraines, thankyou

It’s very hard to tell whether or not it might be ectopic. However, if it is you definitely need to get it sorted out! I’d recommend calling NHS111 and talking to them. They’ll probably tell you you need an appointment within 2 hours, and tell you where to go to get one. Or you could call your local early pregnancy unit and ask them directly for help.

If you’re kind of feeling ok, the pain isn’t severe, and you don’t have any other symptoms, it can probably wait until tomorrow morning for you to call them. But if you get a pain in the tip of your shoulder, or severe abdominal pain, or the dizziness is bad/you faint, you should probably go straight to A&E, as it can get very bad!

A&E probably can’t scan you, so if you can safely wait until the morning, it will be an easier situation. But if you need to go in tonight, do so!

I do have an appointment with my GP tomorrow at 2:30 which I booked on Friday because of my positive tests, the pain started Wednesday but thought it mightve just been usual pregnancy symptoms, then I read about it can be difficult to detect HCG with ectopic and just started worrying as thought the clear blue would pick it up if I'm nearing 6 weeks
