I am so grateful to be pregnant, I really am. I can't wait to meet this baby and it is 100% loved... but my god I hate early pregnancy.

I am 9+5, have been nauseous and fainty since bfp, I have had thrush twice, now possibly have a uti. I have put on far too much weight already due to existing on carbs. I'm tired, spotty, greasy, hormonal and generally feel fucking shit. I am nervous all the time whether the baby is ok, and time is moving so so slowly. I am also worrying about my dd (5) and how much the pregnancy is impacting on her already and trying constantly to keep normality for her. I'm just exhausted and being a shit wife to dh to boot. I look fat not pregnant and really don't like what I see at the minute.

I just want to skip to the bit in the middle when I feel more human and start to feel baby move. I loved that bit with dd.

If you are having a rough 1st trimester, feel free to let it all out. I will not judge.

I’m so sorry @Pinupkeza. Thinking of you x

DtD1986 · 19/11/2018 20:20

I actually don’t know how many weeks I am yet had bfp 2weeks ago after throwing up all week thinking I had caught a major stomach bug 😣 I have very irregular periods and have only had about 3 this year and couldn’t tell u when I conceived ect and yet to see midwife or scam date. With my other 2 DS I had morning sickness slightly nothing to major and worked throughout my first pregnancy so was more tired than sick but this one 🤢🤢🤢🤢 all day everyday every second every minute I feel like I have the worlds worst hangover I feel awful and I am forcing myself not to be sick all day as it doesn’t help it just hurts and drains me more 😞. Any fluids come back up but food manages to stay down it just frothy mixture 😫😫. I can hand on heart say that this will be my last baby I don’t think I could risk going through this again and it’s only been 2weeks !! Don’t get me wrong I’m very grateful but it’s got me miserable and I can’t look after my boys properly it’s depressing to think I could have many weeks to go before it disappears. Please tell me I’m not alone out there ladies it’s my number 3 and know the ins and outs but this is something else 😣xxx

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 19/11/2018 23:26

Evening ladies hope everyone is hanging in there.
How's everything going @delilah7 been thnking about you.
I am so sorry for your loss @pinupkeza
I am now 20+2 and I am 5 days sickness and exhaustion free lol I do have a stinking cold which is keeping me awake, if it weren't for that id be feeling amazing. So there is light at the end of the tunnel girls.
I have my scan Wednesday, I can't wait to find out if I'm having a boy or girl.

Spargle · 20/11/2018 04:26

@DtD1986 it’s probably time to visit your doctor to see if there’s anything they can give you to help you to feel better. That doesn’t really sound sustainable.

I’m now 9+3. I had some days of feeling better 7-8 weeks, and now those days are over. Was supposed to go to a meeting yesterday but spent the day in bed. Have only “managed” 2 days of work since this nausea kicked in. (Second one was on Friday. I did 2 hours and lay on the floor the rest of the time.) I’m self-employed, and my finances do not look good! Poor DH is trying to prepare for a project we want to take on, and the preparation is unpaid. Also he is looking after me. It’s all a bit difficult.

Still, everything has stayed down so far, and I’m consistently avoiding being more than a tiny bit dehydrated.

@Exhaustedmummy1811 I am SO envious that you are feeling better. Enjoy it!

Delilah7 · 20/11/2018 07:16

@Exhaustedmummy1811 how exciting for you!! Thanks for thinking of me. Well morning sickness has kicked in but without actually being properly sick 😂😂 more watery mouth and heaving and gagging lol. Once I do that I feel abit better but it's every morning without fail. Bloods will be back tomorrow and scans next Thursday!

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 20/11/2018 07:24

@spargle I was honestly begining to feel like I would feel that awful forever lol once I got to 12 weeks and still felt bad and didn't have that 'pregnancy glow' I could have cried. It will get better

@delilah7 glad everything seems to be going well (aside from the sickness) not long now till the scan, I've been counting down to mine for the last 2 weeks lol I had convinced myself mine was today till my best friend reminded me it was tomorrow, I actually cried lol

Delilah7 · 20/11/2018 07:28

@Exhaustedmummy1811 I'm more convinced everything's going ok because I feel so sick most days! X

TwittleBee · 20/11/2018 08:51

I feel like I should slink off this thread now as I actually feel so bloody normal, apart from tiredness, but this is just causing me anxiety! I have another scan on Friday when I will be 7 weeks.

Pretty much everyone close to me knows, work know too. But my Mum is saying I should go visit extended family to tell them rather than them see it over social media... feels a bit much considering this is our 2nd baby?

Stormwhale · 20/11/2018 09:45

12 weeks today and the nausea is absolutely awful. I really feel like this one is a boy. The pregnancy is so different to my pregnancy with dd. It feels like the nausea is going to go on forever, I feel constantly like I have had far too much to drink the night before, woozy and sick. I'm so tired all the time too. When is this going to settle down??

Iswallowtoothpaste · 20/11/2018 13:41

Just to update - have had my scan today and all looks good. Around 12 weeks but couldn’t get a very accurate measurement thanks to BMI sand tilted uterus so going back next week.

DtD1986 · 20/11/2018 13:48

I have rang midwife she wasn’t to sympathetic as I’m guessing she has heard it many many times but I could have done with a hug over the phone and abit positivity 😞 I need to make appointment with gp to get checked out as I’m pretty sure I’m dehydrated and sickness is getting worse by the day my skin is flaking off my face chapped lips headaches and mood swings . I can’t carry on like this it’s unbareable I don’t know how some woman manage with a 2yr old and a 6yr old already .
She mentioned anti sickness medication but she did say we would ‘prefer’ u not to take them which didn’t help as I worry about taking anything in first 12 weeks 😞 I have no scan date 3weeks till I even meet midwife do t even know how pregnant I am it’s like I’m stuck in the worst time loop ever with no end in sight 😞 this should be a time to enjoy but I don’t think iv smiles since finding out due to sickness

Stormwhale · 20/11/2018 13:50

@Iswallowtoothpaste - just commented on your other thread. Wahay!!!! Such good news. We have the same due date. And I also have a titled uterus. Aren't we lucky Grin

metoothree · 20/11/2018 13:55

yes, it's shite. I once cried at the bottom of the stairs because the idea of climbing them was so exhausting. My sympathies!

Iswallowtoothpaste · 20/11/2018 14:14

That’s awesome @Stormwhale! Aren’t we just!

Meg1389 · 20/11/2018 16:20

Is it bad to say I’m liking I’ve come across this thread? I have been feeling so down and miserable due to the symptoms of feeling sick all the time, headaches, back pain, tummy pains, sore boobs, high anxiety, Hardly sleeping and I have an underlying cystitis condition that is flaring up. I just think it’s helped to know I’m not alone and what’s happening Psychologically and physically appears pretty Normal! Hardly had time to really let things sink in and be excited due to how rough I have been feeling,
Nice but not nice to know others are in the same boat if that makes sense.

Stormwhale · 20/11/2018 18:13

Ok tonight has topped it off. I feel like I can barely move through exhaustion and green with nausea. I went to the bathroom to get dd a tissue and the smell that hit me has actually made me cry. I know that sounds ridiculous. Dh had been in there, taken a dump and then vaped a strong fruit smelling vape. The combination of the smells was too fucking much. I actually can't take this anymore.

Noodella18 · 20/11/2018 19:10

@stormwhale that’s enough to make anyone feel sick, let alone somebody in first trimester! Have you started feeling worse? I found my nausea ramped up at 12 weeks and then tailed off abruptly end of 14 weeks. Now at 15 weeks and it seems to have gone... I’ve heard the body can have one last big push on the progesterone front before handing over to the placenta and the nausea abating...?

Pickupthephone · 20/11/2018 19:29

Has anyone else developed bad breath?? I STINK!!

Stormwhale · 20/11/2018 19:39

@Noodella18 - yes definitely worse. It eased off for a week or so, then came back with a vengeance a few days ago.

Spewy, cranky, teary, highly emotional, irrational, tired, hungry, thirsty..... feeling very meh.

QueenBee90 · 21/11/2018 06:25

Omg yes I feel awful, it’s been comforting to read these posts and know that other people are in the same boat...how some of you are feeling this rough and still looking after little ones is beyond me!! 10+5 today, is anyone else finding the hardest bit SMELLS?! The smell of EVERYTHING makes me want to wretch. I feel like I can smell every single person I come across’s breath, and clothes 🤮

Onestep2 · 21/11/2018 12:38

@queenbee90 yip, I feel ye. I too have found my super power with a highly sensitive sense of smell!!!

I can smell everything and anything and 90% of the smells make me bolk. Smell of food puts me off food. Even my fav foods. 😞
