Nuna vs Uppababy

Help!

I thought I was so decided on pram and car seat and have just come out of shop completely confused! Was all set to buy an Uppababy Vista - read loads of reviews online, decided it was the one for us - potential for double in future (🤞), love the big basket and the look in general. But the girl instore tried to sway me to a Nuna Demi instead - also converts to double but I just wasn’t mad about the look of it. Anyone know anything about them?

I’d also decided on a maxi cosi car seat (and got a second hand base from my sister) but she told me I should look at the besafe car seat - baby is more padded and safer. But then I need a new base. She told me it would work out cheaper anyway, and they’ve a deal in the Nuna’s (and everyone is buying them and basically I’d be mad not to).

Anyone know anything about the Nuna or Besafe? Should I be taking her advice or with a pinch of salt as there could well be a better commission for her with those brands?

Sorry can’t help with the Nuna but I love my Vista!

I have a Nuna Mixx and it’s great:

  • Moves really well and lovely to push.
  • really easy to collapse and set up and all the wheels come off which makes it easier fitting into smaller cars
  • seat can lie flat for newborn and the canopy goes over quite far. You can buy a carrycot separately but not essential.
  • good space underneath for shopping etc.
  • good price as well.

The only con for me is that it is not the lightest but I’ve used it on public transport and not really struggled too much. Not tried out the Demi but I imagine it’s quite similar to the Nuna.

Also heard really good things about the Nuna Pippa lite car seat but we went with the bigger size in the end as will last longer.

Overall, I’m really happy with Nuna products and I’m surprised they are not more popular - they seem to be a big hit in the USA.

Had a vista in 2015, would never choose anything else... still going strong for number two and will be transporting a new addition next year too!!! It’s a really solid piece of kit x
