Hey what's the easiest, most comfortable way to wrap xmas presents? I am almost 18 weeks but i feel my bump is really big. Im halfway through present wrapping and i am uncomfortable. I don't have a table so having to do it on the floor and bump is getting in the way and i don't want to squash him/her by bending over too much?

Use a desk, kitchen bench, bed?

I was 30 week when I was pregnant with dd1 and wrapping Xmas presents. I just did it on the floor in small bursts. I'll be similar this Xmas and do the same.

Ironing board.

Tissue paper in to gift bags or boxes.

Buy bags or boxes in bulk online and then everyone gets different coloured tissue paper.

With boxes, I put them all out in the floor, wrapped tissue round a present and dropped/placed in to a persons box. Then when I was done I put ribbon and a bow round the box, with a lovely gift tag. Really easy.

With gift bags, some people end up with more than others but it doesn't matter really. You just need to be conscious of size of each present.

I did it on all fours on the carpet earlier. I’m 34 weeks tomorrow. Just had to take breaks because I kept getting pins and needles in my foot 😂

SoyDora · 04/11/2018 17:02

Ill be about 38 weeks when I wrap presents! Just planning to do it in short bursts.

MagicalCreatures · 04/11/2018 17:02

I’m sorry but I have to be the first person to say ‘what the heck’? Christmas Presents. It’s November!!!! 😂
I’m kidding. I’m just jealous that your so organised and I’m really not and I’m due the 28th December.
I would suggest sitting at the table as thatbis probably what I will do. Find it really uncomfortable on the floor too x

Coolaschmoola · 04/11/2018 17:03

Another vote for ironing board. Then you can have it a comfortable standing height, or seated.

SoyDora · 04/11/2018 17:04

MagicalCreatures I’m due the same day as you and haven’t started shopping yet Grin

MagicalCreatures · 04/11/2018 17:19

@SoyDora that’s fab. I have a feeling my little boy is coming early though. I hope so. Just a couple of weeks should do it. Which is why I’m getting in a bit of a tiff over not starting my Xmas shopping. X

SoyDora · 04/11/2018 17:21

I’d like this one to come a couple of weeks early ideally but I thought DD2 would be early (midwife even said there’s no way she’d get to 40 weeks) and she was 2 days overdue so not holding my breath!
Good luck!

You won’t squash you’re baby too much. I asked my midwife when I was expecting, due to my job requiring me to be bent over for sometimes hours a day.

peachesarenom · 04/11/2018 18:19

I've done all mine bar DH MagicalCreatures I got too tired at the actual shops so had to go online!

dreamyflower · 04/11/2018 19:26

Haha following. I'm 38 weeks and was trying to do it today! Epic fail 😂😂 wanted to be all done for when bubba arrives (I also have toddler)

1987Laura · 04/11/2018 19:41

I am done. Took me ages as was taking breaks. Think my step daughter has too much? Oops woll probably end up getting more too

@1987Laura good job. Can I hire you? 😂
Peaches I was saying only a while back about how I wanted all the babies stuff bought and ready so I didn’t have to panic about that and getting my Xmas shopping done in the weeks leading up to Due date.
And I’ve got all the baby stuff ready but yet now can’t be arsed to do the Xmas shopping. X
