Positive sweep stories please.

I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and for the past 3/4 days I've had start and stop contractions. They start to become regular and then just stop? I went to the hospital for them on friday just to be on the safe side and the midwife said I was 2cm dilated, gave me a sweep and sent me on my way. Nothing major has happened since then apart from today I seem to be losing large parts of my plug (Tom sorry) and have start feeling crampy again. Has anyway got any positive stories about labour starting soon after these symptoms?

Yes I went into labour about an hour after a sweep. Baby was stuck in a slightly awkward position with head tilted and back to back so my labour was then pretty long but that sweep definitely did the trick! Good luck!

@bees1 first sweep didn't seem to do much:( thought I was in labour on Sunday and went to the Labour ward but it was baby just testing me:( I have another one booked for tomorrow so fingers crossed that one does something

Perhaps this is where is should admit it was sweep no3 that got me into labour...😬! Hang in there no one is ever pregnant forever and your body knows what it’s doing! Good luck!
