Hi! Just had a bloody show at 38+5. If you had/noticed one...how long after did your labour start?

hodgeheg92 · 03/11/2018 16:15

I was within 36hr with both. It came in dribs and drabs over a day. Hope you’re not waiting long! It’s all exciting but try to rest and eat nutritious food.

Hopehope20 · 03/11/2018 17:34

Thank you! It feels so strange feeling that things might happen soon..after so many months of waiting. It's quite overwhelming thinking I could meet my little human soon!

Mine came out over 10 days in bits but I had the biggest chunk (sorry tmi) about 12 hours before labour properly started.
Exciting!

Lolololololol · 03/11/2018 18:03

Merename · 05/11/2018 12:24

Ooh wow! Oh try not to fear, your body is made for this and every contraction is a step closer to your little one. Birth is amazing. Hope it’s reasonably quick for you, let us know how it goes! Flowers

Canders · 05/11/2018 12:40

You will be absolutely fine please don't panic. Try to relax as this will be better for you during labour.

Just remember our bodies are made for this... trust your body and you'll be fine.

Good luck!!

Hopehope20 · 06/11/2018 12:34

Aw thank you so much everyone! My contractions started Sunday night and little Henry was born Monday night at 11pm. He was 6lb 4 and I am on awe of him! Very sore today and struggling with getting him to feed...but keeping at it. Here is my little man...

Congratulations! He is lovely xxx

Merename · 06/11/2018 13:33

Oh look! Hello Henry. He is beautiful. Well done you.

hodgeheg92 · 06/11/2018 14:09

He's gorgeous! Look at all of that hair. Take time to rest (as much as is possible!) and if you want to breastfeed, I really recommend going to a support group if there is one near you. My local one was really friendly and supportive (and was in a cafe so included tea and cake!) x x

DramaAlpaca · 06/11/2018 17:10

Aww, he's lovely. Congrats OP! Flowers

Hopehope20 · 06/11/2018 21:49

Thank you everyone! Yes wanting to breast feed...struggling with producing enough of the stuff that you have before your milk comes in! I am sure it will be ok.
