Hi all,
I’ve recently had my pregnancy vaccinations (whooping cough and flu jab)
The nurse went few why I should have it done and touched on the fact that a lot of people are not vaccinating their children once they are born?!
Why is this? I’ve heard a few things but are they really that bad?
I couldn’t imagine not vaccinating my child and then it getting really ill with something I could of prevented through a vaccination!
I just wanna hear people’s views and facts etc?
My partner isn’t 100% on getting little one vaccinated when she’s here but I couldn’t quite get his reasoning to make sense!

Simply put, there are no facts whatsoever that support not vaccinating a healthy child. There are children, hopefully yours will not be one of them, that can’t have their inoculations due to compromised immune systems but other than that, there is no good reason to not vaccinate your child. Perhaps when you have your first visit from the health visitor you could ask them to explain to your DP why he should be 110% sure on vaccines. By all means do your research but stick to reputable sources like the NHS website or the American Academy of Paediatrics.

@JosellaPlayton
I keep seeing all this nonsense online stating this they cause ADHD, Autism and stuff like that but can’t wrap my head around how that could possibly happen or why the NHS/Governement would want to give people that as it gives them more work and more costs!?

Well if it helps the ex-doctor who claimed the autism link was struck off for unethical behaviour, misconduct and fraud...

@JosellaPlayton
I don’t believe it in all honesty and I think if it was true I’d rather my baby have something Like that rather than run the risk of her catching something awful that could potentially take her away from me!
