Anomaly scan, 10th percentile

Hi Guys,
I had an anomaly scan at 20 weeks and the child's weight seems to be below the 10th percentile. Head measures okay but all the remaining things are quite low (not under 10th percentile though). I have not been scheduled for any other scans and was told everything was okay but I am now quite worried, especially since the child measured right on average during our first scan.
Anyone has any input into this?

I wouldn’t be too concerned, after all 10 babies out of every 100 should be below the 10th percentile line...

Your midwife will monitor you and if there are any issues will refer you back for a scan.

Are you or your OH on the small side?

(Dd was born on the 50th centile but has since tracked quite happily below the bottom line, so long as they follow their own curve I wouldn’t worry)

Thank you. I have been quite a big baby and both OH and me are pretty tall.
I just hope that it will even out in a few weeks. Google does not make for pleasant reading when it comes to small babies....

My baby was -round 50th centile at 12 and 20 weeks and I measured on the 90th - I then had a presentation scan and he was on the 5th and born on 2nd! So no one knows anything! All fine and healthy - don’t google! Just a note if you do have a small baby and breast feed you may want to top up with formula initially just so there blood sugar doesn’t drop so much as smaller babies find it harder to stabilise and mine got the shakes - I wish someone had told me! We topped up (especially when waiting for milk to come in!) and he gained beautifully settling on 50th. Went on to ebf for 6 months so no issue if that’s your plan. Fed us best and all!

I agree with the above re: the measurements being so far out. Mine was 91% apparently. I was pretty terrified as both DP and I are small. He was below 25% in actual fact.
