have put on loads of weight throughout my preg which kinda baffled me as didn't eat more and was pretty slim before..but knew it came with the territory...

put on nearly two stone - 13 kg

but now at 33/34 weeks kinda hitting a lull and this morning actually lost weight!?

pretty worried now as thought this was the time LO does grow and puts on weight (and wasn't worried about putting on weight now as knew that would be part of the parcel - or is it?)

is doing too much these last few weeks actually making me lose weight and thus harm the LO??

anyone else lose weight so early on in their third trimester??...had read you can lose weight but usually this happens later on just before labour onset

Yes, I lost about half a stone early third trimester but have since put on a stone (EED next Sunday). It's odd because I don't look like I'm carrying loads of extra weight, except a bit around my thighs, but I'm actually two and a half stone above my pre preg weight.

Talk to your MW if you're worried, but generally the body puts the baby first so it may be that it's just growing loads and using all your calories. Green and Blacks is helpful, IME, if you want to make sure you're getting plenty too

I found this useful when I was worried about my PG weight!

well that is why I was thinking - maybe body settling down and baby growing at my expense - but midwife today measure my fundus and said it was small!!! "it won't be the biggest baby"

still in the norm mind you but the trend is that is it levelling out size wise and will end small for 40 weeks...she said to wait couple of weeks and see how it goes....

should I worry so late on in preg...?

surely some babies are born small...others big???

am 34+3 measuring around 31cm

Don't worry Bumbly.
I lost a little weight in the third trimester but my baby was perfectly healthy. The baby will get nutrients at your expense if you aren't eating enough. I had nitrates in my urine towards the end which indicated that I was missing out on nutrients so I made an extra effort to eat more.
I was also told I was small for dates throughout the later part of my pregnancy. DS was 7lb 7oz so he was a fine weight, they can't always tell tbh. SOme people do just have little babies. Both of mine were quite small.. but perfectly formed
