I’ve had this back ache for the past 2-3 days. It’s constant, varying in intensity and really quite painful at times. Feels like I’ve strained something.

I phoned the midwives this morning who gave me the hospital’s advice line number. I haven’t rung this yet as everything seemed to settle but it’s back as bad as ever tonight.

I’m so, so worried. I keep hearing that lower backache is a sign of miscarriage this early on. I just want it to go away!!

Could be your pelvis relaxing and the muscles in your lower back adjusting to the change. I was CRIPPLED from about 7 weeks to 10. Couldn't even sit in a chair or get up. Had to take tome off work. It settled after that. Just the odd twinge now. Happened last pregnancy too.

I hope everything is ok for you.

It seems to have settled a little bit and I’ve been having symptoms as usual so hopefully it’s just one of those aches and pains!

Ahh that’s tell reassuring! It’s actually been a bit better today which has been a relief as I was turning neurotic last night!
