What would you say this is? I'm 27+3.

Found this when I went to loo about 20 mins ago

I'm also 27 weeks and I had similar two weeks ago, not as much maybe but similar colour and consistency. I was on the watch but I didn't have any problems afterwards. Obviously it looks like mucous plug but I think it can be replaced? If you're more sensible than me maybe worth a call to the midwife?

bob1985 · 01/11/2018 12:08

@costacoffeecup that's what I thought but wanted a second opinion.

I've got a growth scan this afternoon (pre arranged ) so will mention then. I've not got or anything contractions but do feel like a really need to pee all the time

Show the pictures to a midwife or another professional at your scan appt this aft.

I'm sure you'll get reassurance.

TubeTop · 01/11/2018 13:01

@OhhEnnEmm Extremely unhelpful. Take your unfunny jokes elsewhere.

loveskaka · 01/11/2018 13:14

I don't know what it is but I had it when pregnant. Only thing I can say is my ds was born at 33.3 weeks. I think it maybe it's the mucus plug that stop bacteria getting to the baby which can come away and reform again ( if I remember correctly) x

Wenttoseainasieve · 01/11/2018 13:19

It does look like mucus plug. Sometimes its streaked with blood, sometimes not. Doesn't necessarily mean you will go until labour soon.

costacoffeecup · 01/11/2018 13:54

Let us know what they say, would be interested in case I get it again! Sure it won't be anything to worry about though.

AsMuchUseAsAMarzipanDildo · 01/11/2018 14:00

It’s your mucus plug. Don’t worry, you’re continuously making more. You only need to worry if it’s your waters or blood or you’re having contractions.

bob1985 · 01/11/2018 16:25

@costacoffeecup all good with the scan ❤️

Also spoke with midwife who said that it didn't sound like anything to worry about just now. But just to monitor, if I start to get pain or bleeding to call back.

She also said always best to call and double check anything that is 'different ' most likely nothing to be worried about but it's better to call than leave it.

Excellent news xx

costacoffeecup · 01/11/2018 17:09

Good news on scan! I've got one next week as I had hypertension last pregnancy so getting the extra ones, which is reassuring.

bob1985 · 29/01/2019 13:24

Thought I would stop by and update.

I think this was part of my plug. I went into labour a few weeks later. DD was born at 33 +6. Short stay in the NiCu but home now
