2 ripe banana sandwiches on brown bread. Wait until you feel ready and then raise your feet up on a toddler step when you go to the loo, so you're in the squatting position.

Also, plenty of water.

Good luck. It's hideous.

CocoHoney · 31/10/2018 22:44

@oigetoffmycheese Thanks I'll try that! And yes it is hideous. xx

Try a glass of full sugar coke for breakfast. Good luck!

ThanosSavedMe · 31/10/2018 22:56

Chocolate raisins, toms of water and agree with the step that oigetoffmycheese suggested

DDogMum · 31/10/2018 23:00

Drink tons of orange juice!

Sexnotgender · 31/10/2018 23:01

Orange juice- proper stuff with bits.

Also lentils, I make lentil soup and it really helps.

I really feel your pain I’ve been terrIble for the last few weeks with constipation (I’m 16 weeks now) I’d recommend lactulose, prunes/juice or cranberry if that doesn’t agree with you - I think prune juice is grim personally but was desperate. The pain and bloating was really uncomfortable for me too, I spent all my free in a bath where I felt like a human again!

Drink plenty of water especially if you take lactulose only problem is it can take 48 hours to work but it’s helping me so far (fingers crossed) along with a healthy diet with lots of fibre included - once I went I was crying and promised myself I’d never eat crap again! Unfortunately I couldn’t keep anything down in the first trimester aside from ice lollies, egg fried rice and curry sauce, along with my sickness tablets which are well known for causing constipation.. me and my digestive weren’t friends!

Hope you get some relief soon!

CocoHoney · 31/10/2018 23:26

Ooh never thought of that. I don't normally drink coke but I'll give it a go, thanks!

@Anyat212 Aww bless you it sure is horrible. I'll definitely be upping my water intake, even though I'm peeing like a camel lol! Thanks for the advice x

Liquid iron supplement in a glass of orange juice

Valkarie · 31/10/2018 23:40

Fybogel every day. I was blocked up for the whole pregnancy for ds2. Not fun!

LittleBirdBlues · 31/10/2018 23:45

YES to prunes and linseed (added to porridge or soaked with oats overnight)

NO to iron or chocolate (or too 'ich sugar in general sadly)

UndercoverLauren · 01/11/2018 19:18

Filter or cafetiere coffee is the only thing that works for me, if you can stomach it in the first trimester!

snoopy18 · 01/11/2018 19:22

Fibre rich diet and water

snoopy18 · 01/11/2018 19:22

Also veg and fruit
