8 weeks pregnant, and partner is being nasty towards me since finding out ( baby was planned)!

Telling me "he hopes the car blows up with me in it"

Feeling so low and discussed.

Is this normal for him to say this? (Only thinking it's his mood adapting to the pregnancy) but I could be wrong?

Any advice?!

We all say things we don’t mean when we’re anxious, upset or unsure but hoping the car blows up with you and his unborn child in it is unforgivable!

Is he usually this callous and flippant with his remarks?

I’m so sorry you’ve had to hear him say that OP. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling. You’re not to blame in anyway shape or form for the words that come out of his mouth. I’d be packing his bags, I’m not sure I could forgive that.

Not normal, if you're pregnant or not he shouldn't be acting that! Time to think about separating.

Definitely not normal. My husband was the opposite, as soon as he found out I was pregnant he was all over everything. He was very caring and sweet. He may well be anxious but I imagine you may be as well. Words are needed I think.

Sounds abusive - Upset or not that’s extreme behaviour.

Alfie190 · 31/10/2018 18:35

Do you really need to ask if that is normal?

LatteLover12 · 31/10/2018 18:38

Pregnancy can often be a trigger for men to become abusive for the first time. Please take care OP, comments like that are not normal.

What @LatteLover12 said- seek help immediately with your midwife!
