Sure Start Maternity Grant

Hi everyone. I'm 15 days post-partiun with a beautiful healthy boy. My partner is on job-seekers so we are entitled to the SSMG. I sent it off last Thursday got a text today Tuesday 30th saying "We have received your claim for a SSMG you will get a letter with a decision within 10 working days. "

How long did it take from this message for a letter or for funds?? Any advice would be helpful please. Is a text good news or does it matter ? Thanks in advance x

The message does exactly what it says ... you will receive a letter with the decision within 10 working days.

A Letter has to be sent either way so it is not an indication of whether or not you have been awarded the grant.

I got a letter exactly 10 working days after the text and I think the money went into my account a few days later
