Feeling ill third trimester

Hi everybody,
I'm posting this just to ask how everybody else is feeling or has felt during the first trimester and whether I'm normal!

I have been feeling so ill these past few weeks. I feel nauseous, my heartburn is really bad and I can barely eat half of the amount of food I used to be able to. I've been getting absolutely awful headaches that make me feel so sick, and I just constantly feel like I have a virus or something. Its like when you have the flu and you have no appetite, you feel really off and your head is pulsating.

I have awful back pain that starts in my bum and shoots down my legs, and I am sometimes breathless even just sitting down. My iron levels had dropped and were a little low, I was taking spatone but I haven't managed to pick anymore up as I'm working every weekday and laying on the sofa when I'm at home. I've taken paracetamol twice today, once at work because my headache was so bad and again an hour ago.

I feel so awful and I don't know whether it's normal :(

I felt so poorly in first tri, definitely the worst part of pregnancy for me, headaches and nausea were awful, as well as zero energy, it all went away at aroind 14 weeks so there is hope for you!

I found putting ice on my forehead or back of my head helped a lot with the headaches, painkillers didn't touch it.

Of course if you're concerned give your midwife a call or see your GP.

The heartburn, acid reflux does make you feel icky. I always lost weight in the third trimester. I would mention the headaches and get checked for pre eclampsia. The back pain is understandable baby is squashing you, your lungs are getting squished as well.

Spatone won't fix low iron.

You need prescription iron tablets. 600mg of ferrous sulphate or similar.
