Hello - I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. Scans and tests are all good. I told my boss early on as I needed to have a number of scans and consultant appointments. But I am reluctant to inform the team... How many weeks should it be?

You don't legally need to tell anyone until you are 25 weeks pregnant x

If you don't want to and don't have to then don't. Just let them figure it out and ask you.

I've hardly told anyone. Close friends and immediate family and it shall stay like that, because it will become obvious and it's noone else business.

Tell ‘em when you are good and ready.

I had to declare early as I was yakking in a bin every morning.

Everyone was nice and I didn’t suffer any bitching with either pregnancy.

I suppose it depends on if you get on with the people or not. It’s only their business if you choose to make it so.

I haven’t yet - except immediate colleagues as I was off sick. The rest I’m going to wait til they notice probably. Now 16 weeks and bump starting to appear so reckon within the next 2 weeks it’s goinb to be obvious.

I've only just told my colleagues and I'll be 23 weeks on Wednesday. I wanted to wait until we'd had our second scan. It's also a bit hard to hide now! I still have lots of friends who I've not told yet though. Tell them when you're good and ready, it can be a bit overwhelming when everyone knows!

I got all squishy in the middle and was desperate to get into maternity jeans so told my wider workplace at about 14 weeks (I'd told HR and my boss at 12 so I could go to appointments/have sickness separately recorded asap).

Eminybob · 29/10/2018 18:25

I told my colleagues pretty much in the week after my 12 week scan. I was excited and I knew they would be excited for me so I wanted to tell them.

Eminybob · 29/10/2018 18:27

My boss blonde from day dot as we had been having a conversation about career progression the day before my BFP and then the next week a job came up which he was excited to tell me about, so I felt I had to tell him.

Eminybob · 29/10/2018 18:27

*My boss knew, not blond Confused
