Have I got HG?

16 weeks and still being sick pretty much all day everyday. Doctors have been great and signed me off for 3 weeks now with regular checks.

I can't keep much down and to be honest have very little appetite. I also can't stand the thought of water as I've thrown it up so many times (gross).

The doctors haven't officially diagnosed me with HG but they talk about it as if it's what I have (if that makes sense). My urine samples have all came back fine apart from one when the doctor said I might need to be admitted to hospital for a drip but by the afternoons sample, he said it was ok again.

So I suppose I'm just a bit ignorant really and don't know if I just have super bad sickness or if it classes at HG?

Not that it really matters, all that matters is hopefully soon I'll stop spending so much time in my bathroom 😕😷

I think it does sound like hg. Usually there are specific criteria for diagnosis; admitted to hospital for fluids and/or lost 5% (or maybe 10%?) body weight. However, if you're being managed properly then these things might not happen (obviously they still do for lots of folk) but it doesn't mean it's not hg. My doctor signed me off with hg last time despite not meeting these criteria and I have the same this time, although I've lost 10lbs in 10 weeks this time. It's often underdiagnosed so you may well have it and it never gets officially diagnosed. It's really tough and a miserable thing to go through. Look up pregnancysicknesssupport website for advice and help. Sometimes the mental side can be equally hard; isolation, lonliness etc. Sending lots of positive vibes.
