Hi there, I am new to mumsnet and in desperate need of some advice!! I am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant, aged 39 and petrified something will go wrong! I had some spotting early days but had a scan last Wednesday and saw a little heartbeat so this made me feel better however yesterday my boobs were so sore they felt like they were going to explode! But today they don't feel sore at all Its like they have gone back to normal!! Is this a bad sign?? I am really panicking!! Has anybody else experienced this??? I am so scared it means I will miscarry xx

I’m 9+2 and my symptoms have come and gone throughout.

A couple of days back I was panicking because my boobs felt fine and I hadn’t been sick for a day or two. I’m now on my second day of feeling fairly rough!

Thank you for responding! So it fairly normal then for breast tenderness to come and go throughout the first trimester? Xx

From what I've read, symptoms can definitely come and go. Also, once you see a heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage reduces quite a bit. Such an exciting but also such an anxious time. Fx for you and good luck!

Really! Fingers crossed then, because of my age and because I have wanted this for so long, I guess I am both paranoid and petrified! Thank you so much xx

Yep my symptoms come and go a lot. I woke up Friday morning and my boobs didnt hurt at all - i freaked out and then by lunchtime they were on fire again. Hormones come in waves so sometimes you might feel ok and other times you will feel awful!

I've always found this reassuring, see what you make of it - look how far you've come in terms of risk! 😊

Thank you so much! It's mad when you find yourself wanting your painful boobies to come back xx

Sounds totally normal! Don't forget that every woman's body will react differently to a pregnancy. The only thing I would say is definitely keep stress levels and worries to a minimum, I know lots of people don't realise how bad that actually is. If you have any worries, just get in touch with your midwife or call into your surgery to ask if you need to see a doctor.
I would personally bring up the spotting with a doctor/midwife. With some it's normal, but they might want to keep an eye on that.

Thank you! Yes I told my doctor and had an early scan on Wednesday where we saw baby's heartbeat
