Hi everyone.

I have just found out I am 5 weeks pregnant. I need to choose a hospital. I live in Whetstone and I have no idea which hospital to choose from... The receptionist at the GP surgery just told me to register with Barnet Hospital... Would anyone recommend any other hospital so i can do some research? Off the top of my head I can think of Whittington (archway) Barnet General (Barnet) Chase farm (enfield).

Much appreciated.

I don't have much knowledge of the area, but which is the easiest/quickest to get to for you?

I had both my dc at Barnet hospital. Had a really good experience. Both dc were premature and breech position. The staff were really quick and they took great care before and after giving birth.

Chase farm no longer has a maternity ward. It closed about 5 years ago. I had my daughter at North Middlesex 4 years ago, they've spent about 30M on refurb all brand spanking new facilities.

The care and aftercare were excellent, I ended up having an emergency csection and they were brill. Currently preg with #2 and I'm going back there again. Good luck!

My friend had her baby at Barnet last year. She had her first at Watford and said Barnet was fantastic.
