Taking a test today..

NC for this. Regular user.
I'm taking a pregnancy test today as I've been having bad nausea, Diarrhea, mood swings etc lately and feel like I need to check first before I go to the doctor just to rule out being pregnant.
I know it's not likely, I take the pill and always on time but I feel different at the moment so I'm worried.

I'm 20, boyfriend and I live together and we're serious. (He's older)
He's not been so friendly to me lately though, often moody and always picking at things I've done. (Eg I don't put the washing out properly or I don't walk the dog enough) despite me studying for a degree full time + part time job and him working from home daily.

I feel so stressed this morning as I know I just need to go buy one and get it over and done with.

It would be our first baby.

Just looking for some reassurance I guess?

All you can do is test to see and if you are pregnant you'll be absolutely fine! You seem quite secure and ignore his moaning or talk to him about it xx

wishitwaseasier58 · 29/10/2018 08:39

@Russell19 Thank you! I know a test is the only answer at the moment, I've just got to pluck up the courage to go buy one in public.(And spend £8)

I hope whatever the answer we'll be okay. Feel like I'm constantly trying to please him at the moment playing housewife!

I hope you get to the bottom of it. Are you due on your period yet? Fx you get that result you want

Russell19 · 29/10/2018 15:35

My husband can be like that sometimes but tbh he probably does do more around the house than me!!! 😂 I massively need to up my game but in my eyes we both work full time, both quite stressful jobs so we need to share it. He just moans when he doesn't want to do it and I ignore him 😁 I'm off work this week though so I'll deep clean and wash/cook everything xx

adoggymama · 29/10/2018 18:30

Hi guys, boyfriends just gone off to get a test now with the shopping. I chickened out of buying one earlier whilst I was out!
He had a run after I posted this morning and came back in a much better mood thankfully! (Honestly I swear men have worse mood swings than women!)

Taking the test this evening. Nausea has prevailed all afternoon and is hitting its peak again as I've just had some dinner :(

I'll be back to let you all know later..

Thank you xx

Name change fail AGAIN. Fuck it, who cares lol

GimbleInTheWabe · 29/10/2018 19:04

I so t tell @adoggymama fox for the test and if you get a negative this evening I suggest taking an insurance test tomorrow morning with your first wee glad that's when you have the highest levels of the hormone in your body. Just to be sure!
I will, in fact, also be testing tomorrow morn as I'm currently 12 days late for my period but have had all negative tests so far. I'm paranoid something is happening in my body and I don't know what it is!

GimbleInTheWabe · 29/10/2018 19:05

Typo: I won't tell...
dont type and breastfeed at the same time!

adoggymama · 29/10/2018 19:23

@GimbleInTheWabe aw how olds your baby? Good luck for tomorrow morning, I think I might test tomorrow morning if he's only got a test pack with one in.

I'm in two minds, I know I'd be happy to be pregnant and we've discussed a baby for a while now as it's financially do able and we're committed, but I'd definitely be terrified too!

If I'm not I'm definitely going to visit the GP because if these symptoms aren't pregnancy, I need them sorted! X

adoggymama · 29/10/2018 19:53

Pretty sure it's negative? The dye went everywhere.

Going to book a doctors appointment tomorrow anyways to discuss the cramping pain as I need that sorted anyway.

Super super faint second line... @Russell19 @GimbleInTheWabe
What do you guys think?

Taking a test today..
GimbleInTheWabe · 29/10/2018 23:02

Sorry for the slow response @adoggymama! Not 100% sure I can see a line on your most recent post but my phone screen is a bit damaged. If you can see even the faintest line though then that means it's positive. Definitely take one tomorrow morning and see if you get a stronger line then. And, if you haven't already, there's lots of MNs who are pro line eye-rs and will be able to spot if there's one there or not!

My LO has just turned one, so it would be certainly sooner than planned!

I was in the same boat as you though when I found out I was pregnant with DS. DP and I had spoken about kids etc but it was earlier than we would have chosen, however we knew we wanted the baby and now we wouldn't change our set up for the world. It's a lot of hard work but so worthwhile!

TheDayMyButtWentPsycho · 30/10/2018 00:11

Nah that's totes negative.

adoggymama · 30/10/2018 00:22

@TheDayMyButtWentPsycho that's what I'm thinking too be honest. I'll test later on in the week. It would be super unlikely as I've been consistently taking my pill.

Wouldn't mind a happy accident though too be honest!

GimbleInTheWabe · 30/10/2018 07:10

Are you overdue on your period yet though @adoggymama? You won't get a reliable result until you're overdue.

So I did another test this morning and I'm definitely not pg.. which is a relief really as I'm hopefully started a new career soon so it would be a massive inconvenience!

Taking a test today..
Russell19 · 30/10/2018 07:20

Hmmmm I think you need to do it again with FMU. When I first tested it was the faintest ever line but I was convinced it was there and each morning it got darker. If you think you can see something you probably can, trust your instincts xx

adoggymama · 31/10/2018 11:04

Ughhh felt good yesterday (admittedly did sleep till 3pm) but the nausea is back today! What a nightmare, and it's just woken me from a lovely nap.

Testing again tomorrow morning... @Russell19 @GimbleInTheWabe

Russell19 · 02/11/2018 09:47

News??

GimbleInTheWabe · 02/11/2018 13:21

Yes @Russell19 any news?

adoggymama · 03/11/2018 00:12

Hi guys! Sorry for not updating- been so busy. I'm going to say I'm not pregnant- had a negative result with another test.

Just gotta get to the bottom of this nausea :(

Had a drink tonight- first one in a while as I'd been scared in case I was pregnant.

glutten4punishment · 03/11/2018 00:44

You ok about it?

adoggymama · 05/11/2018 09:27

@glutten4punishment yeah, I guess I'll have to be! It's not the best time right now with finances and my studying anyway.

GimbleInTheWabe · 05/11/2018 10:23

Seems like you're quite level headed about it @adoggymama and at least the possibility has helped you put things in to perspective.

I had DS relatively early (I was 26 when I gave birth) and tbh if j could go back and start again I'd make sure to wait until we were both totally settled in our careers and finances. Of course I love DS more than anything and there's always a way around things but the cost of childcare and loosing your freedom takes a bit toll!

adoggymama · 05/11/2018 18:38

@GimbleInTheWabe definitely! I know I'll be able to enjoy pregnancy more in a few years time when I'm further along in my life. Thank you! X
