Im so sorry you have had to go through all this :(

I've had a few bad experiences with Sainsbury's tests and I will never use them again. First time I thought it was just a dodgy test, second time I was a bit miffed but third time I swore id never go near them again and I sent in a complaint. This was may this year.

I trust the Poundland ones more than the Sainsbury's.

OP you need to make an appointment with your GP ASAP. 12 years is too long to have been trying for a baby and not have gotten anywhere. They can send you for testing etc and find out the problem. They can help you.

You can't get false positives. The tests pick up on the pregnancy HCG hormone. You only get that if your pregnant at the time.
Could be chemical pregnancies, where you are pregnant but not long after a positive the pregnancy fails so you get a late 'heavy period'.
It's still a failed pregnancy so still a loss. But GP's count it as a late period. They did with me anyway.
Yes I've heard PCOS can make getting pregnant difficult.
Is there nothing any professionals can do for you? I'm surprised they haven't steered you down the IVF route yet. Here's to hoping you conceive naturally soon and get a keeper.
