BBT/temping in pregnancy

Hi so I just got my BFP! Do people carry on temping in pregnancy? What apps do you use? What should I expect - is the increased temp the new normal for the 9 months? Reasons for or against would really be appreciated! I'm kind of addicted to it but not sure whether it's fuelling or calming my anxiety after 2 losses.

I can't really see what on earth the point would be? You know you're pregnant, the pregnancy is developing or not, the only thing that is going to give you accurate information on that is scans.

I've read your temperature can become quite erratic once pregnant and you should stop tracking bbt to remove unnecessary stress.

Congratulations! But put the thermometer away in a drawer! (and stop peeing on sticks after you get the bfp as well...!!) Tracking won't tell you anything now, there is no point. I used fertility friend when TTC and once I fell pregnant even the app said to stop tracking bbt etc now. It felt a bit odd stopping as had been doing that, opks, etc for ages and like you, I felt like there was something I was supposed to 'do' but your temp won't just stay on a high straight line for the next 9 months as pp said, your hormones will be up and down due to the various things going on, and any fluctuations don't mean anything. The first few weeks of Pg in particular are definitely worrying, not knowing how everything is going in there, and am sure especially so with prior losses, but all I found I could do was stay as calm and as positive as I could.
Good Pg apps have been Glow nurture, pregnancy plus, babycentre, what to expect - but all of them are more about explaining what's happening each day/week, I was surprised ( but ultimately pleased!) that the only thing they want you to 'track' is weather you've taken your vits!
Wishing you all the best.
