Anyone else approaching due date & feeling fed up? I’ve just had my first week of maternity leave, been full of a cold so pretty much housebound all week which probably hasn’t helped!! I just feel so huge, cannot get comfortable anywhere and am ready to have my body back!!!

I'm 37+4 too and have had 2 weeks of maternity leave. I do sympathise! I woke up this morning with a spasming back/bump and have had thigh pain all day but there's absolutely no other sign of anything. I'm keeping myself busy working through a to-do list and cooking/freezing meals but I think another week or so and I will be fed up!

I’m 36 weeks and I have a week of work left but I’m ready to havethis baby now. I’m so uncomfortable at times and constantly need to pee! I’ve been bouncing on the birthing ball and going on walks to help move her down

Eeeeek2 · 27/10/2018 15:53

36+3 and I've had enough. Plus dh is determined to do all the jobs he thinks are important cutting the bloody hedge and none of the time critical like finish building the wardrobe so I can get clothes organised and ds room not looking like a pigsty.

LBNM19 · 27/10/2018 22:58

36 weeks and really had enough, I'm so exhausted all the time. I have a planned section in 2 weeks so not to much longer to go. X

Queenofhearts3 · 28/10/2018 06:20

A few of us in it together then!! I’m struggling sleeping I’m just so uncomfortable all the time and doing even the smallest thing feels like so much effort!

I’m so determined not to go overdue though, I’ve been walking as much as possible and doing lots of bouncing on my ball!! Not that it’ll probably make much difference but makes me feel like I’m helping the process along a bit!!

Not quite as far along as you ladies - 35+4 - but I can relate. So uncomfortable in bed and the constant peeing!

@Eeeeek my DP is exactly the same. He's determined to get all the DIY jobs done, bless him, but he just needs to stop now and clean up after himself!

usernotfound0000 · 28/10/2018 16:01

37+6 here. Thankfully I'm booked for a ELCS at 39 weeks exactly, not sure how I would cope with much more. I'm struggling to do the smallest of tasks now.

Eminybob · 28/10/2018 16:04

I’m 36 weeks and definitely had enough. Ds was born at 37+4 so I’m hoping this one follows suit and comes soon. I’ve been getting some quite strong Braxton Hicks which I am hoping might mean something’s starting, but obviously just need him to hold on for another week.

Dandybelle · 28/10/2018 18:43

36 weeks here too, but been signed off work since 28 weeks because of severe SPD and I'm so bored. I can't walk or get comfortable in any position and I'm measuring huge. I'm so ready to not be pregnant anymore!

Queenofhearts3 · 28/10/2018 19:41

My Braxton Hicks seem to have increased over the last few days too eminybob and just today I’ve been getting a sharp stabbing pain low down I think people refer too as ‘lightning crotch’ which is quite a accurate description for how it feels!!! Not sure any of this means anything though!

Planning on starting some batch cooking tomorrow to get my freezer full!!

Oh me too!!! 37 weeks today and I’ve so had enough! I can hardly move I’m like a beach ball, can’t even comfort eat can only manage pea sized amount of anything at a time. Lots of sympathy coming ur way. I was planning to start batch cooking this weekend, nothing done so far full of cold too, Dh has rearranged the freezer I have no idea where anything is Confused not long for us but long enough! Xxxx

LittleMG · 28/10/2018 19:47

Can I ask do Braxton Hicks hurt or is it just a hard belly? I’ve got a very hard belly mostly in the evenings and have to get in the bath it’s uncomfortable but I’ve not got any pain.

Eminybob · 28/10/2018 19:54

They can be uncomfortable but not really painful. They can take my breath away sometimes, it’s like everything is tightening. Weird feeling. I never had them with my first pregnancy but they have been quite frequent for weeks now.

SuperstarDJ · 28/10/2018 19:57

36 wks here, full of cold and struggling to breath with a wicked cough. Baby is currently breech and wedged under my right rib cage. Every time I cough it feels as if my back is splitting in two and my ribs are about to explode. I’d cry only it’s too painful.

DD1 came unexpectedly at 34 wks so have never experienced late pregnancy before and I can’t bear the thought of potentially another 4 wks of this.

I have a hospital appt during the week and if baby hasn’t turned what are my chances do you think of convincing the consultant of letting me have a c-section at 37/38 wks?? Last time we spoke she said the earliest they’d do one is 39’wks.

I’m an ‘older parent’ (40) and have GD which is controlled by insulin.

I know I’ll get more sleep once the baby arrives as I’m hardly getting any at the minute due to being so uncomfortable!

Whinge over Grin

Queenofhearts3 · 28/10/2018 20:25

I’m struggling to eat too much too littleMG or I have awful heartburn! Getting through gallons of gaviscon!

My Braxton Hicks don’t hurt as such just my whole bump goes rock hard and really really tight, it eases off quite quickly but comes in waves really. It’s just very uncomfortable! I can def feel that she’s moved lower down as I’ve much more pressure down my pelvic area and my bump has visibly dropped. Midwife appt on Thurs so hopefully she’ll be able to give me a idea how engaged she is!

I feel for you with the cold superstar I was full of it last week too! Only just started to feel better over the weekend, it really took it out of me! This is my first pregnancy so I’m unsure about how early they’d agree to a c section but you’ve nothing to loose by asking!

LittleMG · 28/10/2018 21:44

Ah right I think I have been getting them then, bump goes hard and uncomfortable. If I get in the bath that really helps. Tell me about it, I think I’m keeping gaviscon in business lol lol

Decemberly · 29/10/2018 00:37

I’m 37+1 and have another week of work left, was worried I’d be sad to leave but now it cannot come quickly enough. The heartburn has really ramped up now which is miserable at night, I’m peeing all the time, exhausted and fed up! I caught myself thinking the other day “I’m looking forward to this pregnancy being over so I can have a proper rest” and then remembered that’s not really how this works 🙃

MeredithShepherd · 29/10/2018 05:59

I’m 39+1 and have genuinely forgotten what sleep is! I can’t get comfy. I went for a 5 mile walk yesterday and had a curry but still nothing. DS was 6 days late so I still potentially have 3 weeks at the most before I have my baby! Confused
