I see a lot about growth scans being over estimated but wondered if anyone’s are ever under estimated ?!
Baby measured 4lb 7 at my 35 week scan- she has been growing slowly but from 33-35 weeks gained just under lb!

I’m having a section at 37 weeks which is all booked- any idea what weight I can expect her to be ?! Is it likely she’ll surprise me and be bigger ?

I don't think they are ever right tbh. My cousin had a baby and was told if she went full term he would be 10-11lbs but when he was born 4 days LATE he was only 8lb 9oz which is still a good weight but far off what they were thinking.
Also my mum was told with me I would be around 10lb and I was 6lb 9oz
I've known them to never get it very correct

My sil had a scan because they said her bump hadn't grown for 5 weeks and thought the baby might be small. Growth scan estimated about 7 pounds. DN was born a week later at 9.12!

My apparent huge baby the whole way through pregnancy was 5lb 4ozs.at term.

To buck the trend, my growth scans (I had 2) were dead on. We knew my delivery date as I was already booked in for an ELCS at 38+6 so based on that and measurements from the last scan, the consultant said definitely at least 7lb8, no more than 8lb and DD was born weighing in at 7lb13. Maybe I was lucky but the doctor was also a fetal medicine specialist so knew his way around an ultrasound machine!
