36+3 - Growth Not As Expected

Had my home visit today as we are planning on a home birth.

Baby has been tracking on the growth chart on the 90th centile but today I've dropped to the 50th centile so a slight growth in the last 15 days but barely anything.

MW has booked me in for a growth scan on Tuesday (I'll be 37+1 then) so I'm now crapping myself.

MW said that they'll scan me on Tuesday which will give them her weight and then if it falls below her expected weight they will rebook me for 2 weeks later to recheck her growth but what happens in the time between appointments? How are we meant to know if there is anything wrong?

I know that I'll need to monitor movements but my placenta is front centre so I only feel kicks at the edge of my stomach and the occasional bum roll at the top so I don't feel her move overly much anyway

So the measurement was done by midwife with tape measure? These are notoriously subjective measurements. Try to stem the anxiety (I know it’s really hard- i’m In a very similar position) until the growth scan. Get a list of anything you haven’t sorted or bought for baby yet and get it. Keep busy. Have a look at some of the positive threads on here about inductions and C sections so you are prepared for alternatives, but i really hope you get your home birth.
