The end is near... S&S? Does it work?

Been to see MW. Fully engaged and booked in for S&S on Tuesday (40+1) Does it work? Booked in for induction at 40+ 12
Baby number 1 was early so feeling fed up.

S&S's are a bit hit and miss I think.

I had one with all 4 of ours at 40 weeks (+ odd days) - 2 worked within 48 hours the other 2 I had again a week later and then started in labour again within 48 hours

I had three (38 weeks, 39 weeks and day before due date) each one would bring on false labour but the third had me contracting in the car park to go home and in labour ward within the hour!

I had two with DD, one at 40+3 weeks which didn’t do a thing and the other at 41+2 which did work as DD was born about 14 hours later!

I had 3 with DS2. First at 40+2 or 3. Nothing doing. Second attempt at 40+10 the midwife couldn't reach so doc on labour ward had a go. She was very thorough. I was contracting regularly within 8 hours but DS was still 24 hours away, he eventually turned up at 40+12.

Neither of my babies engaged at all till well into active labour though.

Currently in labour 🙌🏼
