Is it appropriate to buy my pregnant wife some nice lingerie - not maternity specific stuff but just some nice quality, sexy lingerie that she may wear/enjoy post-pregnancy? Or is this inappropriate given that it may be seen as pushing for sex when that may be far from a priority at present? Any thoughts?

I'd love DP to buy me some new underwear for after birth. It's so bloody expensive to buy myself! You know your wife best. I personally wouldn't see it as my DP pushing. Just him buying me something he knows I'd like very much.

I would personally really like that. All my underwear is naff so I would actually welcome it. Aslong as he was thoughtful about what he actually bought then I don't see why I would object to it. I also think because we won't have any sexual contact for weeks after birth it would be nice for me to feel sexy and comfortable that first time too.
It depends on your OH really, if you are really unsure either buy her a voucher or ask her if she wants to go shopping with you and see how that goes down.

I’d be happy for DH to buy me some underwear for afterwards... but if want it buying when I could actually use it. Like I said above if he bought it when I was in the early stages of pregnancy for afterwards I’d feel the same as if he bought me gooey cheese and a bottle of gin and champagne when I couldn’t use it! So I’d prefer something I could make use of at that time, then get the underwear later. I’m grabby like that Smile

Personally I'd rather wait to have new underwear as you can't wear anything remotely nice after due to post bleeding and feeling like shite!

Also, with your spa day, have you checked their pregnancy policy as they normally have the policy of nothing in the first trimester

You sound lovely OP! I hope she is pleased with the spa day and pjs.
