I am looking to breastfeed but am wanting to get some formula in just in case I struggle or for when I want move on. What formula would people suggest to have in, I know some are breast milk substitute are these the best to get or not?

It’s highly regulated so formula is much of a much. Just make sure you get stage 1. Then maybe whatever sells at your local shop/is available ready made for convenience. I fed Hipp as I liked that it was organic and DD didn’t have any issues with it.

It’s easy to get hold of it if you need it though (local shop, 24 hour supermarket, amazon prime), you don’t have to buy it in advance if you hope that breastfeeding will work out.

Choose the cheapest you can get hold off with ease from two of your local shops unless you are using Aldi's. If you baby doesn't like it go up the next in price until you find one s/he does like. As a PP said in the UK baby milk is regulated and is much of a muchness.

The "breast milk substitute" line is marketing guff. They're all extremely similar.

I went for cow and gate when I started combi feeding ds at 5 months because it was the cheapest and they sell it in my corner shop. They’re all the same really
