Stretch marks, bump & stitches from surgery

I've had a giant ovarian cyst removed (5weeks ago tomorrow). I had both laparoscopy and laparotomy & have dissolvable stitches. The glue has all come off but the stitches remain (& don't look like they are dissolving yet - GP was happy with them last week). I'm 22 weeks...bump is growing & have felt movement this week!

My question is around putting cream/moisturizer on my tummy...parts feel dry/sensitive when something rubs against it (not on the wounds). I meant to ask GP when it will be ok to use cream to moisturize but I forgot. Anyone have experience of this?

Hi, I had a lap done in March and got pregnant in April. Currently 27 weeks and still have scars from surgery. I’ve been using the palmers bump butter and it seems to be doing a good job so far; very moisturising and supposed to stop stretch marks.

@Ceryss thanks so much for your response. Do you remember how long it too the stitches to dissolve? Do you know if it ok to use cream after 5 weeks (the knots are still visible).

My stitches dissolved in about 2 weeks. My mum is a nurse and so she cut off the knotted ends when the stitches had healed.
