How normal is this?
I've googled but not much comes up.

I'm not too worried at all. But this is baby 3 and I don't want to be too laid back.

I'm on iron tablets and tried all the usual remedies and waiting for the GP to call to prescribe something.
In the mean time is it normal for bowel movements to cause vaginal bleeding?

This isn't the first time it's happened it's the second and third.

And it's 100% vaginal bleeding. Red.

Baby is happy and fine and moving.

Constipation should not cause vaginal bleeding. Are you certain it's PV bleeding? If so you should see a doctor

100% vag bleeding. Small amount of show came away as well.

Have you spoken to your MW? They will want to hear about any vaginal bleeding.

I am much earlier than you, only 16 weeks, but for the last 3 weeks have had similiar, bright red very fresh blood when I go to the toilet, definitely coming from vagina. After multiple visits to GP they eventually sent me to the gynae team and it is due to a polyp on my cervix. I'm waiting to hear what needs to be done about this as mine is very large (I can actually see it sticking out of me), but maybe you have similar? I'd suggest you seek medical advise.

ThirdChildFourthPile · 24/10/2018 15:15

Oh, I have a polyp on my cervix.
I've had it for years. I wonder if that could be the problem??

Anyway, the doctor called and sent me to triage so I'm just waiting here now.

I really want to know what BTec mum said, I totally missed that! 😂
Will someone PM me?

I am only 9 weeks pregnant and I have had this every time I've tried to go for a no.2! And it's definitely down to constipation. Whenever I strain that's it, so I think it's cervix irritation from all the pushing and straining.

ThirdChildFourthPile · 24/10/2018 19:39

I came back from triage. It's definitely 'not normal' to have vaginal bleeding when having a B M.
I have a slight ectropic cervix which might be the cause.
They are giving me a growth scan in a couple of weeks now because of the link with low birth rates and repeated bleeding.

What's an ectropic cervix?
Maybe this is what's wrong with me then.😩
Have you bled throughout the pregnancy or just now?xx

ThirdChildFourthPile · 24/10/2018 21:11

Just now and a few weeks ago.

Sorry it's entropic, I spelt it wrong. It's just something that occurs with hormone changes when you're pregnant or on the pill.
I'm not really sure what it is I think it's a over growth of cells or something. But it can cause bleeding sometimes.

I hope your pregnancy goes smoothly.
