I've brought my inducement date forward to Friday as I'm slowly losing the will to carry on 🙈 will be 9 days over due LB is being stubborn. Could anyone share some stories with me so I can prepare myself!

I had to be induced as my waters broke and no contractions followed. It was my first baby and was 12 hours from when I was hooked up to the drip to when dc was born. First 4 hours I had mild pains and then all of this changed to constant painful contractions with no breaks in between the pain so I opted for an epidural which luckily worked and no complications. Needed forceps due to me being petite and it was a big baby!! There are bits that I’ll leave out as it wasnt the best labour but I didn’t matter as soon as I saw my baby I knew it was all worth it. Also my second baby cake naturally with only gas and air for pain relief. Just adding that last part as it’s a common worry that if you’re induced with the first you may need it with any future labours which is not the case

Good luck for Friday - you’ll have your baby in your arms before you know it!

Good luck OP! Similar induction to Badgerandmole in that my waters broke (pre-term) before active labour so had to be induced with DS except that I was bloomin hooked up for over a day and epidural didnt work for my right side. I was soooo tired, didnt get any sleep for over 48 hours. But totally worth it. Trying now for baby #2!

I was booked for an induction on my due date due to a big baby and too much fluid around baby. Pessary went in at midday, I was feeling contractions from about 5pm but very mild then at 9pm waters broke by themselves so no more intervention was needed and I had her naturally at 6am! Good luck!
