I'm booked to get induced Saturday if nothing happens before ...
it's second baby had first naturally
How long after being induced did you start getting contractions ? Midwife said I could be waiting days but my friend started getting contractions after 5 hours with first baby so was just wondering how long it took for everyone ?

It took me three pessaries but I was 37 weeks. I did a lot of walking so would advise taking trainers. I only had flip flops and slippers. It was a much better experience than I had anticipated. Currently 25 weeks and wondering what a normal birth would be like and waters going as I had mine broken last time. Good luck and try not to worry xx

I was 41 weeks. About 2/3 hours to contractions. Never needed a second dose. Babies were born 18 hours after pessary (dd1) and 12 hours after (no2)
It sounds strange but mostly it was a long and boring day. Walk as much as possible. Remember your phone charger and snacks!

Should add it wasn't twins. Two separate pregnancies, 3 years apart. Just induced at 41 weeks both times

@flowersWB thank you, hopefully it happens naturally beforehand anyway 🤞🏼

I went in at 8am, they wanted to see if certain movements would kick anything off before proper inducing. I was hooked up to the drip at 11am.
11.45ish they upped whatever they were pumping through me ( I just wanted the baby out by this point so I didn't ask many questions)
Nothing at all happened, 12pm/12.30 I had my first contraction and it was brutal and he was born at 14.55.
