Newbie here I had a chemical pregnancy on the 9th sept 18 I bleed for 4 days lost lots of clots and blood went to the doctors and they said do another test in few weeks if it’s still positive to call epu,( I DTD a few times in between this time ) 3 weeks later still had positive test went in for a scan and was told it’s a possible ectopic was sent for surgery to remove tube, came around from that to be told everything was fine(still have tube ) as my hcg was going up slowly and they could see something in my uterus was told it’s a pul I asked could it be possible to have fallen pregnant again was told no it’s not possible fast foreword to today and had another scan to be told they see what looks like retained tissue but I’m still holding out thts it’s a new pregnancy and that they have it wrong my hcg have been 860 to 1262 to 1678 to 2560 to 3558 I’m waiting for the results of the blood taken today should get that back tomorrow. Sorry if it makes no chance but this has been going on for so long now and I’m still in limbo Confused

Hi darling.
Sorry to hear what your going through.
Unfortunately to cut to the point, my hcg rose very similar to yours and it ended in a very long winded miscarriage.
I’m pretty sure it was a blighted ovum but they never really wanted to say. I just kept going back to the EPU for scans to be told the sac was growing slowly but they never saw a yolk sac or fetal Pole. I was 9 and a half weeks when they finally offered me help to end the pregnancy.
I really can’t say whether it’s a new pregancy from your chemical. I’m not sure you will ever know but it is possible to ovulate 2 weeks after a chemical and fall pregnant again.
I hope it’s different for you. They did tell me that a retainer small percentage of pregnancies HCG didn’t always double in 48 hours but ended in perfectly healthy pregnancies.
I take it those levels were taken every 48 hours? X

Hi thanks for replying the first 3 hcg was but the last 2 was 14 ago and 3 days ago my only concern is that I’ve had about a dozen scans and they have only just said about this tissue in the sac hence y I’m thinking early pregnancy instead x

Even if it was an early pregnancy, your HCG should really be doubling every 48 hours.
Though it has been known that HCG doesn’t have to double, it is very rare for it not too.
