Scan shows five weeks should be 8

Had 2 early scans in the last couple of days. One private and one at EPAS the worrying thing is the both show growth consistent with 5 weeks whereas Im 100% certain my lMP was 27th August putting me at 8 weeks. They won't believe I have the right dates but I was tracking so I know it's right. 3 weeks seems a huge discrepancy at this stage

Were you tracking ovulation or just when your last period was? When did you get a positive test?

What did you see on the scans?

Wasn't tracking ovulation just cycle. Had positive test on Sept 23rd. Scan showed sac and faint slow pulse. Only measuring 3mm though so she said either my dates are wrong or it's stopped growing.

Have they made an appt for you to go back at all?xx

Hmm, it doesn't look overly promising if you tested positive a month ago as you would have had to have been about four weeks/three and a half weeks pregnant (in the way doctors date pregnancies) to get a positive test, and should indeed be about seven/eight weeks by now. I think all you can do is wait for a week or so and see, hard as that is.

Yes I have an appt to go back in 2 weeks. I think I'm accepting its not going to be good news the discrepancy is too much. Other half is convinced it'll be fine though. I think I'm finding his optimism the most heart breaking.
