So I stopped taking the contraceptive pill around 4 months ago, about a month ago I had what I thought was my period... less than two weeks later I was bleeding again (same length of time as usual period lasts and same amount) this is super strange as this has NEVER happend! Even after stopping the pill my periods went back to normal and I never had issues but now I’m a little concerned?? Should I be..??
I’ve had discharge that is brownish (sorry for TMI) and I just don’t feel right! I’ve taken pregnancy tests on and off but all negative..
Is there a possibility? Has anyone had this and found out they were expecting?

If the tests are negative it's very unlikely you are pregnant. Your hormones are probably just shifting around post-pill, which is very common and often creates pregnancy-like symptoms. It can take up to a year for them to really settle.

It may just be your body adjusting to normality after coming off contraceptive. It can take time. If you have signs of being pregnant call your Dr and get an appointment x

When I came off the pill I had really long cycles, followed by a random 6 weeks where I had 3 (yes, 3!!) "proper" periods, same length/intensity etc.

It can quite often be your body settling down as it needs to regulate it's own hormones again. It'll almost certainly settle down soon. I found myoinositol combined with acupuncture helped regulate my cycle and dropped the length from ~37 days down to ~31/2.

So for now, if you've had negative tests, I'd say you're probably not pregnant and I'm sorry if that's bad news (feel your pain if so). If your cycles are still haywire after 6months off the pill you could speak to your GP but most often they aren't inclined to do anything until you've been off contraception for a year (if you're under 35).

Good luck xx

Yup. I'm having all of that right now as my hormones re-normalise several months after giving birth. Most "pregnancy symptoms" are actually caused by progesterone which can go up for all kinds of other reasons. Symptoms don't mean a lot. Only positive tests.
