Confusing growth scan.. what to expect ?

So baby has measured small since 29 weeks ( below 5th centile)
Today I had a growth scan at 35 weeks and baby is now ON the 5th centile yay! She’s following the curve well.
However the sonographer noticed the femur length hasn’t grown in a few scans and added some extra charts to my notes with lots of plottings of ‘ long bones’.
I was sent upstairs to see triage to discuss a plan. They told me they want me to continue to come in for twice weekly CTGs - this was started last week due to movement.
But also that they’ve booked me a scan with a senior sonogrspher for Friday - who will make a decision based on the scan.
The midwife also told me to bring my bag incase.

Abit worried I’ll be driving to the hospital and leaving with a baby?! And I’m unsure what an extra scan can achieve ? especially when I have one every Monday anyway. I should have asked but I panicked at the time.

It sounds like you need to call Triage back to understand their expectations further. I presume the point of the extra scan is because it is with someone more senior and it may be more detailed to check there is nothing of concern related to the femur growth. Try and see it as a good thing that you are getting extra monitoring and reassurance. It sounds like it there has not been further growth they will induce you hence why they advised you to bring your bag. Good luck!
