Waiting for the scan...

So I'm currently 10 weeks and 3 days I've got my scan in 10 days time and I'm impatiently waiting for it!

Wondered if anyone else is at the same stage and thinking it's weird that no medical professional has actually tested to confirm I am pregnant?! only my numerous pregnant tests to go by until the scan.

I had a scan at around the 12 week mark but I was actually a week behind what we estimated so really it was 11 weeks.

I was convinced I'd made it all up in my head as I only had my home tests and no symptoms.

The doctor never tested me as "home test are so accurate" (her words).

So I think it's totally normal? Possibly depends on your GP? My booking appointment didn't test either.

I have a one year old now! Good luck!

12 weeks is normal apparently for first app / scan. I was the same. It feels like an out of body experiance haha. Good luck!

I think they test HCG levels when you have your bloods taken at the booking appointment.
I found it odd though.
I did expect to have to do one at my booking appointment there and then as I didn't have one when I went to see the GP. I'm sure with my second the gp tested when I went in. Must have looked dodgy back then 😂

I honestly felt like I was going to go into my 12 week scan and they would be like why are you wasting everyone's time, there's nothing even there why are you lying. It is very surreal until that scan and I've spoken to a few others who've said they felt the same x

I'm 11+5 and my scan isn't for another week and a bit Shock! With my other two I was tested at the doctors to confirm, but this time nothing aha! It feels so strange to me that they wouldn't check lol. Guess it's just the norm these days.

I’ve just been to arrange my booking in appointment. It’s not until 6th December, at which point I should be 11+5. So unless the midwife unit I’ve been asked to call arrange something different for me, I’ll be having a scan a lot later than I expected. Thought I’d be booked in at 7 or 8 weeks, with a scan intended for 9 weeks! Hopefully the wait won’t do me any harm 🙂

I had a private early scan so didn't feel like that really. No one ran a pregnancy test though. Good luck with it!

@spargle it's a 12 week scan so your appointment is exactly when it should be.
