6 week scan

Hi everyone. I’m booked in for a 6 week scan on Friday. Due to me having a miscarriage before and a few complications they want to check everything’s okay. I had a 5 week scan and they couldn’t see too much. What did your 6 week scan look like ? X

This scan was dated at 6+5, whereas I had thought I was 7+1. The big circle is the yolk sac and the baby is the blobby shape next to it.

This was my internal scan at 6 weeks: baby was 3.6mm long and looked like a grain of rice. We could just see a little heartbeat flickering away!

awww they’re so cute! I’m so excited but nervous. I just hope my little baby is okay. Can’t wait. These are all giving me hope x

Hi OP! I had an early dating scan on Friday for medical reason and that dated me six weeks exactly. I won't lie, I couldn't make out anything. The sonographer zoomed right in and I could see like a circle, which she explained was the sack, and inside it was flickering, which she said was the heartbeat. To me, it just looked like a screen of nothing lol but she was very pleased and said it looked healthy and had a heartbeat so all was good.

I really expected to go there and see something that resembled a baby but it was nothing like it.

All you can basically see is the heart beat and a blur x

I’m not bothered about seeing the baby I just want them to see what they need too and say yayyy baby is okay! Thank you both! X
